Belo Horizonte Brazil
Washington Avenue has been involved with the work in Belo Horizonte for many years.
The work at Belo Horizonte has been going on for 20 years. Eddison Fowler of the Central Congregation has planted over 10 congregations as well as the establishment of the National Bible and Leadership School to train preachers, evangelists, missionaries and church workers.
Through support from Washington Avenue and other congregations we have seen the establishment of new congregations and the development of "In-Home Bible Studies" and a television program that reaches 40 million people in 5 different states in Brazil.
Some of the challenges facing the work in Brazil is a complex exchange rate and the work involved in maintaining a new congregations' strength once it is established.
Although it has been several years Ray Justice and Dave Scherer visited Belo Horizonte, we hope in the near future to return and review Eddison's progress.
